Silent Screams

Its sad how lost she is Knowing only the roots of her hair .. Knowing only the trees she sees in the yard but not the trees God made - the trees that run thru her veins .. Its sad how the country she knows is the four walled bedroom that engulfs her being evryday like a vampire and his coffin .. Its sad how the her secrets are only known to God's creation but not by God himself .. Its sad how her Poetry wants to speak but she just stays -- silent! Silent is her maiden name for the apple dd not fall so far from the tree.. Silence is wat she grew up seeing as the walls crumbles- the glasses broke and the Red- blue lights shone.. Silence is wat she danced to when the music to her ears was that of her sister's hungry cries - Silence was the books she read even thou she failed to speak to their exam.. Its sad how the holes in her body are the ones on her ear lobes- Forgetin to use those that allow her to see.. Those that allow her to hear but mostly negleting that one that allows her to speak! Speak out nd cleanse the world through the word .. The word is Poetry .. Poetry she holds near nd dear to her heart whenever the thots of a child that haunts her her sleep rise.. Poetry that holds her sobs at nyt when her dearest is just too far.. Poetry- poetry ..its sad how the poetry she lives by only lives within her haunted soul- between her troubled eyes.. Poetry made of Gold.. Poetry for the young and the old- Its sad how- even after so many dark moons- she insists on holdin the emotional tap a little tighter.. Hiding behind her four cold walls .. Nd making broken calls @ nyt.. Just as she finally grows the balls - to speak her mind !!! #

Hi Susan, this is a very profound and touching write. You've brought out the theme of silence very well - the prison one encloses themselves in because they cannot speak up to be heard. I like how you mentioned the holes on her ears - that is a very interesting observation and nice contrast. Very well penned. I'm looking forward to read more from you.
