Silent screams

Caught between the id and ego,
Wondering which to let go.
Chaos echoes in the mind,
Drowning in the depths of thoughts.

Wanting to scream but without a sound,
Talking to oneself, hoping nobody will notice.
Quiet as a grave at the hearing of those voices,
A fragile image, easily broken into pieces.

The ache it brings is hard to bear,
The weight of sorrow, the burden of tears.
A shattered hope, a broken dream,
From within hears the silent scream.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
