Silent One

A bird, caged in jealous possession, by silent assassins of suppression. Fate took her voice, as she flew to be free, now her songs are whispers of misery. Is she a victim of reality, drifting into realms of insanity. Childhood trauma effects her mentally, confused why humans act so venally. Waiting for her loved ones to return home, she's developed guardian angel syndrome. Helping others, despite her own torment, soothing their burdens whilst they lament. Her bilingual tongue suffers in silence, but at least her heart is safe from violence.
The Silent One 8 October 2020 This poem is not about me. I'm not a woman. I have stuck to ten syllables, but I know the meter is not perfect.

Ahhhhhh, a poem with your name on it. Silence is not always quiet. Loud words from hushed whispers of the being inside. I am glad you have found your star. May it forever shine on your pen.

Very expressive and emotive work. Yes, sometimes women are caught in a terrible situation especially those of other cultures. Thanks for the visits to my page. Sara

"Childhood trauma effects her mentally" So many go through this and it breaks my heart. Your thoughts caress tenderly around me. ~ Brandy

I can relate actually quite well. Childhood pain free would have been nice. Meter is flexible unless you're entering a contest. Good sonnet.

An excellent though heart-rending write Silent One. If only no child ever suffered again in silence or pain. “Childhood is meant to be trauma free, living life in unfettered harmony.” Belle

Thank you. As always your poems are extraordinary, but your perceptiveness and intuition startling. And that two diametrically opposed perceptions of someone can equally be true is startling. And very comforting

Silent One, I am always taken aback by the versatile emotions you pen. Only an empath can write with such feeling as to make the reader believe you speak from personal life experience. You have the mark of a true marksmen of your trade. thank you.

There are of humans who still believe in the beauty of humanity.. they sacrifice a life just to bring peace, love and bliss into others lives.. none is ever alone if we keep showing care and understanding.. feeling and curing the pain of others.. giving and sharing.. a very harsh and moving visual! A stunning poetry of great worth! An immense pleasure to read your profound Sonnet, Silent One! My deepest regards and blessings.

Devastating images in your video, SO. Complexity of emotions you describe are so true to real life for some. And they suffer in silence. Amazing is human spirit that rises from such tragedies. Deeply moving write.
