Silent Night

AS I LAY IN THE MIDDLE
OF THE GOLDEN
GRASSFIELDS OF
MOTHER NATURE
I ADMIRE THE CALMNESS
WITHIN MY SOUL

THE STIL, BUT
SOOTHING, WIND BLOWING
THROUGH THE TREES
KINDLY GREET THE
EMERALD GREEN LEAVES
THAT SEEM TO EMBRACE
THE WINDS ATMOSPHERE

THE BOASTFUL FLOWERS FLAUNT
THEIR MULTICOLORED PETALS
FOR ALL THOSE TO IDOLISE THEM

THE DISTANT MOUNTIAN TOPS
ARE COVERED IN PURE
WHITE SNOW – NOT EVEN
THE SUN DARES TO MELT ITS
FROZEN AND THICK INNOCENCE

THE SMALL TREE CRITTEERS
SCURRY AROUND TO AVOID
THE LETHAL TALON OF THE
BOLD EAGLE THAT SOARS
UBOVE THE SAPPHIRE SKY

BUT ONCE THE SUNSET
ARRIVES…
ALL THOSE WHO WERE
BOASTFUL, INNOCNET
AND BOLD...
SURRENDER THEIR
UNIQUE ABILITIES
TO SETTLE DOWN - AWATING
FOR THE PEACEFUL
NIGHT TO ARRIVE
