Silent Movies

I could put Charlie Chaplin to shame, With the silent movies playing in my head Like black and white reruns of all the times You made my heart race, made the butterflies flutter In these movies you never let me go. No kiss was ever the last kiss Your arms, my fortress where I am safe and loved Who knew our love story would turn in to a nightmare Shredded and shattered you still own all the pieces Of the heart that beat just for you.
