Silent In the Wake
Death is imminent
with a ruthless grasp
even those deemed immortal
can never escape
we fight It in vain
to ever suffer
Death may seem a blessing
when pain is at stake
some make It occur
and always regret
for those souls left endure
despair none can shake
we watch this demise
alone in our thoughts
and we can do nothing
do nothing but wait
until time is spent
and we see It invade
bowed heads weep in silence
silent in Death's wake
