Silent Echoes

It used to have a name.
Now it will never be the same.
Echoes fade slowly out to sea.
They tore down a little part of me.

I don't know if they'll replace it .
I guess it's time to face it.
Some memories were'nt meant to last .
They just get chalked up and put into the past.

I could sit here reminicing and sing the blues.
But I've learned, you don't get back somethings you lose.
But if tommorow should see fit to reconcile.
We'll try our best and do it up in style.

Dreamers dreams go on forever.
Reality always fades with the weather.
Some people say, that's just the way it goes.
But I'll always hear the silent echoes.

well, you were so nice to comment to four of my poems, I just had to use my last few min. here to find a poem of yours I had not read. Here is one! I REALLY like this one. It's a bit like the other I like, the one I just commented on. You are a romantic. One romantic can tell another! Luv, Andrea

It has a sadness that echoes in the mind . As you say, dreamer's dreams go on forever, that's why we write isn't it? Elizabeth
