Silent Battles
Deep inside my chaotic mind, secrets whisper and I fall behind.
Thoughts unravel in a world unkind, voices echo in my mind
every breath like a struggle, a confusing puzzle
the smallest thought can break you down, in the shadows is where I’m found
a fortress built on silent tears, no one sees my lonely years
And my heart it aches, I’m so alone, no one knows, I hide my tone
in a world that’s spinning fast, I’m just trying to find my path
The darkness sometimes pulls the rope, it wraps around and kills my hope
but I’m searching for a gentle hand, an open heart that understands,
-The Silent Battles
Hope each year fades, a flickering flame, a spirit tired, but it feels so lame
life becomes a wintry chill, I’m longing for, a warmth, a thrill
My mind, a mess, like tangled vines, whispers of doubt fill the lines
functioning under the weight I bear, a prisoner to this silent lair
All I crave is comfort’s embrace, someone to hear me, hold my face
a gentle soul, I need them now, to guide me through this dark some how
I don’t want to be a burden, just need a hand, a heart unbroken, a place to stand
someone who loves me, I need that light, to see beyond the endless night
Here I stand, in the ache and grace, reaching out for that warm embrace
tell me you hear me, just help me stay, as I navigate this silent way
In a world unkind, yet I still roam, holding hope for a brighter home
waiting for that guiding light, to show me the way and love me right.
-Through The Silent Battles.
