Silenced Voices
Silenced Voices
Mountains upriver rise
beneath portentous clouds
Arctic storms evident
on lifeless leaves and grass
Sunrays impotent against
dim impermeable shrouds
Darkness and ambiguity hark
the impending morass
Conquerors relish burgeoning
lust at a lofty cost
Contending innocent victims
are casualties of war
A placid place inequity turns
into the adverse host
The unimpeded vista of
tranquility still dwell afar
Alongside madness fears
paddle on a sinking canoe
Within ambiguousness is
an intrinsic need to emote
On holy ground atonement
strive to escape inferno
Souls searching for salvation
find pathway remote
Bathing nymphs mirages
reflect on arid desert sand
Eyes craving perfection
blinded by illusive choices
Twisted reality confound mind
like sleight of hand
Moral compass illumines a path
for silenced voices
