In the hush of twilight’s embrace,
Where the world fades, and shadows trace,
I dwell in silence, a quiet retreat,
No clamor of gadgets, no hurried heartbeat.
Gone are the laughter of children at play,
The sweet echoes of grandkids brightening the day.
In seeking independence in my twilight years,
This silence becomes a friend who hears.
I reminisce of days when voices would clash,
When purchases sparked debates, a passionate flash.
Arguments woven in the fabric of love,
Yet silence, that gentle balm from above,
Would weave through the chaos, a soft-spoken guide,
In the agreement of silence, my heart would abide.
Though silence may seem a lonely affair,
It quenches the fire of anger laid bare.
In moments of stillness, I find my way,
Meditation’s embrace, where dreams come to play.
Here, in the quiet, ambitions take flight,
With each silent whisper, I reach for the light.
Observations unfold in the still of the night,
As silence wraps gently, holding me tight.
When the time comes for truth to unfold,
It’s in whispers of silence that my soul is consoled.
So let me cherish this tranquil refrain,
For in silence, I find joy, and even pain.
Each heartbeat, each breath, in the quiet I seek,
In the language of silence, my spirit can speak.
