Silence Is the Enemy

I won't be held back anymore
I won't be afraid to speak my mind
I'm gonna scream
And shout it to the world
Because Silence is the Enemy
Tired of being quiet
Tired of everyone walking over me
Won't take this anymore
Refuse to let this continue
Have to put a stop to this
Have to take charge
And grab life by the horns
And in order to do that
I must not be afraid to speak my mind
I have to scream
And shout it to the world
Because silence is the enemy
I know a lot of people feel
This way that's why I am
Writting this poem because
We all have felt
This way at some point
In our life
No matter who you are
Wether you are the president
A celebrity
Or an average joe
Just like me
We have all
Felt this way before
That's why we have to get
Our voice heard
We have to scream
And shout it to the world
Because silence is the enemy

You have to be brave to scream and shout. It is far easier to keep quiet. I like your poem and its message. Well written. Very best wishes Linda
