Silence In My Heart

SILENCE IN MY HEART BY MICHELLE MORRIS I can't believe we're over; My mind is struggling to Comprehend. All those nights we spent in Our own heaven; Make it difficult to sink in. So I know I have to move on; Without you and be strong; Despite the missing you part, So acute inside my heart. Chorus Yeah, I packed up all my feelings for you; Put them in a chest and locked it tight; Walked around the empty rooms; The silence in my heart In echoes heard. (End Chorus) But moving on isn't a straight road, On a map to heart's freedom; It's dark and has twists and turns, That can cause a lot of friction burn. And you might find yourself alone, Stuck in a foreign place, That aching, yearning pull; Of cognitive dissonance. Because even when You're sure about leaving, You might regret it - Once you find the Grass isn't always greener. Chorus © Michelle Morris, 2020
