Notes About The Poem

Silence Cries For My Untouched Lover

Death's malodor dances
with winds of lament

heart wonders, mind ponders

watching sunset lose her grace,
time has become an adversary,

pulsating in our misfortune,
orchestrating a tragedy of love

heart wonders, mind ponders

in the hope of tomorrow,
silence cries for my untouched lover.

How unjust life would be
if my last sigh was not in her presence

heart wonders, mind ponders

pangs of passion plead,
to gaze into her eyes,
to lose myself in her scent,
to kiss the gloss of her lips,
to merge like ink and paper.

Devoted in an euphoric embrace,
illuminating like a perpetual rainbow

but

Romeo's curse contaminates our destiny -
her heart weeps, searching for a cure.

It would be so hard to be separated from your love because of the virus. Your poem powerfully displays the tragedy. I love the Romeo reference.

Amazingly expressed Si, love the way your repeated line 'heart wonders, mind ponders ' adds more depth to the uncertainty of true to life situations played out in so many parts of the world right now. So many people are separated, so many lovers wonder if they will ever see each other again. Great song choice. A gem...Maria Hugs

When the heart is anchored in an ocean of love and the mind weaves a net of a promising life.. then a howling wind heralds a mighty storm.. Our senses get infected and "Death's malodor dances with winds of lament".. So expressive amazing poetry, Silent One! You take your reader to the core of human nature when infected with the incurable! So profound thoughts of many a reading! Always a great pleasure reading your wonderful poetry.. stay safe. Best regards and blessings.

It's sad that in the coming days many who have lost a partner will pass on alone but for many they may see it as a release. Stay safe, a doctor in London is predicting a tsunami in the next few weeks. Two hospitals being built along with NHS Nightingale, Bham Airport being prepared as a morgue. Stay safe. Tom
