when did we stop. how did your open face close its door... it was alive before why does your back say more than determined silence on closed lips tweed fishbone pattern second skin, defensively crafted around dismissive gestures where did we halt increasing pace did we displace what once was harmony? *** May 25, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Experiencing dis-harmony is more than painful. A cliche maybe, but how else would we know what harmony is...

This reminds me of a song I have fallen in love with recently (tell me how-paramore) that decribes this situation very well, "of all the weapons you fight with, your silence is the most violent" A dark and beautiful write! Love, Juli-Michelle

I do indeed see the increasing space grow on the page and the broken harmony as the words seem to come more haltingly (as you use enjambment), but what I love the most are the brilliant images 'determined silence on close lips'. . . it's masterfully done Darren. I love it!:) Amitiés

Sad my friend, something is amiss here and it's not good. Not your poem, it is great but I can feel the displeasure, the worried thoughts and questions as someone is given the silent treatment.
