Silence
SILENCE
Silence is not emptiness;
the lack of noise,
but the laughter of jokes untold,
the unquenchable joys of conquered dreams,
and the resounding footsteps
of the invincible hero.
Silence__the distant thunder
of the train arriving,
of hopes unfolding,
the whispers of love
(the cries of hate forgotten, now),
the eye’s unspoken hello
(goodbyes left for tomorrow)
Silence remembers...
NO ! Silence IS cold,
like a broken promise,
a tear-soaked eye,
and loneliness is
Silence
personified.
