Silence

I hear the whirling of sirens
Cars speeding by
But what I hear the most right now is
Your silence.

You remember that special connection we had...
It started a few years ago...
Best I ever had.
2015, we don't speak,
I still feel it though.
Even through your silence.

You and I
We divide
Yet collide.
No words have been exchanged,
But I can still feel you,
Thoughts reeling
Questions surfacing.
How are you?
Where are you?
What's with all this silence?

But know this,
I won't stop praying for you,
Until my heart tells me different.
I miss you.
I'm trying to understand you.

But above all,
I hope you are praying
Through whatever haunts you
Drawing closer to God,
Because He will never disappoint you.

You may think I don't need you
I don't want you,
But even through your silence,
I still love you.
