Silence

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Silence
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: March/2010

In the silence
of
day break,
I close my eyes
to pray,
 thanking
the almighty spirit
for blessing me
to see
another dawn -

It is in this
solitude
that I thirst
for my
spiritual connection
to
a higher source,
for I choose
to put
God first.

There is
non greater
than
the Most High -

In the silence
of
day break
I close
my eyes to pray -
