Silence

I said
"I love you."
And I stood there.
You spoke not a word
Just stopped there in shock
And I watched you
Waiting
For a reaction of sorts
What would I get?
Anger?
Sorrow?
Love in return?
You spoke not a word
But your silence spoke volumes.
I turned to hide the tear
Rolling down my cheek
I was a fool,
I'm sorry I wasted your time,
I'll go now.
Don't worry,
Don't say a thing now,
Your silence spoke for you.
