Silence
Silence
Not a sound
Nothing and no one to bother me
The radio is broken
I miss the music but the silence is heaven
There is not a breeze
Even the air is contemplating the quiet
The birds have long since gone south
The snow quiets the ones that remain
Even my mind
Usually filled with ideas, dreams and plans for nothing
It is so quiet that I fear I may be no longer alive
This moment, this silence
So rare, so treasured, so unknown by the world
This moment has to be the Eden that God created
If only it could last forever instead of just a minute
However, that could never happen
If paradise lasted forever
We would all suffer from the lack of children playing
From the missing music
From the horns blowing down on Main St
Even from the arguments we have with our families
That moment of silence may be a granted dream
But the noises are life and life is the real paradise
