Silence

Something’s missing
Your absence has left
Quite an impression on me
Monumental significance
More than you will ever know

The stillness of the night
An eerie, but welcome phenomenon
That I didn’t know was gone
Until it came back into my existence once again

Peaceful void
Never appreciated the power
Of the solace that resulted
From the rebirth of my soul

Refusing to live as your victim
Taking back the pieces of myself
That you contorted with the
Suffocating dysfunction
That you use to annihilate all
Obtaining your desires
At any price
No tears shed
For the ones you deem as weak

Liberating metamorphosis
Vacancy in my heart
Has freed me
From the madness
That surrounds you

Tranquility, a priceless gift
That I gave myself
By discarding the force
That has been draining me
