Silence

There’s a silence
That’s so ambient
It’s volume soothes yet awakens the soul

I felt it once
And never again
It was just before

I no longer feel
I no longer breathe
I no longer compete

For all those things
That should have made me
Me

But did not
Unfortunately
I look back and see

It’s alright
At the end it sinks into one
Moment

The moment of truth
Where there is nothing but
Silence
