Silence

I'm afraid of silence
I cringe at the quiet
When I am by myself
I feel it analyzing me
making a fool of the ever
so cool side of me

Like a loud ambulance siren
silence speaks only the truth
and some truths are too much
Sometimes I accept these truths
without much proof

It's in silence that there is a breach
and you reach borderline insanity
I symbolize silence with being alone
and I really hate the that thought
I try to avoid loneliness at all cost

But I can't avoid silence
it is everywhere
when you stare at the phone
and wonder why no one cares
that's when silence is golden
Sometimes I feel like silence
has hidden motives

But for this moment I was chosen
and maybe I should listen in
because it's only in silence
that you figure out what is really
hidden with in all the noise.
