Signs of Spring

The signs of spring are in the air
the days begin to lengthen
morning arrives earlier each day
the sun sets later in evening
the mood of people brighten
as they look forward to spring
it was a long cold winter
with temperatures below zero
the windchill and frostbite
made some hibernate
but coming signs of spring
with ice melting on roads
dripping of ice off roof tops
spots of grass beginning to show
along houses and sidewalks
brings a lighter step to all
who were down with winter blues.

I relate to this. I have lived in Germany and New England, and other heavy snow places. I have also lived many places that have four seasons. Now, I'm in Florida, have been since 2020 and rejoice that I avoid winter, but Spring? Fall, too? No, love them both. That's different. Hope to travel to Virginia in Spring. Enjoyed your write and sharing ... CayCay

Thanks for your comment on spring. The snow is finally melting but a ways to spring. I have lived here my whole life and as the years go by I wish for shorter winters. Have a nice weekend. love phyl

Love the Spring and Fall Phyllys! Hate the Summer because I have had 8-10 cancer operations of minor type and Melanoma which is of a major type so I have to hibernate in winter and summer. But love between as I love the imagery you gave me of the grass showing along houses and sidewalks. Keep it moving Lord!! Love Patrick down in Philadelphia
