Signs of Fall

I stand so still and look around
at falling leaves all red and brown

Orange and yellow and some still green
such beauty I have never seen

The sun peeks through the maple tree
and lands so softly next to me

I reach out to catch a ray
but suddenly it hides away

Behind a cloud of gray and blue
and for a while plays peek.a.boo

Now it won't be long at all
before summer gives way to fall

Of brisk cool days and colder nights
the harvest moon will share it's light

It tells me now that fall is near
oh' how I love this time of year
