Sign of the Times " Ike and Jane" Sequence 4
The name's Ike. Some of ya know me so hello to you.
may I be so bold
as to pick on you folks
where the weather is so cold?
You know, to talk to you a spell,
while I get a notion to rub on some lotion,
and watch the pretty blue ocean swell.
Would that be considered a sin,
if I told you it's warm here?
Would that be rubbing it in?
Me and the Mrs.,we ain't got much money
so our entertainment is light.
So if I told you it's warm and sunny,
would that be all right?
Jane and me, we watch that weather channel,
so we can watch those shivering people,
shoveling snow and wearing heavy flannel.
Now I don't mean to instigate,
No sir! Far be it from me!
But I now live in a southern state,
and let's see.. the temp. is seventy three.
If it drops any lower still
I'll have to put my shirt on
or I may catch me a chill!
My darlin' wife, could you get my hearin' aid?
Helps me hear the surf better, ya know.
What? Yes, thanks, I'd go for a lemonade.
Well folks we gotta go..
gonna head for the pool...
but we'll see you again real soon ,
on that there weather show.
Now me and the Mrs., we don't know sign,
so wave at us, won't ya.....
with your whole hand...this time?
heh heh, nite nite folks.
We really do love y'all.
