Sight For Darkened Eyes

Sight for Darkened Eyes
David J Walker

A certain sight bestowed in a
Darkened theater

Where doubtful eyes
See nothing
	And never know the same

It is silver upon black
the image plays
In golden silence

	It is gray embossed
in dark red tinges of time

The message personalized in a slight
 	For your eyes only and
left to write
The words that come to mind

What do you see
		He said
Noting that nothing would be a lie

I see black words in an azure sky
	I see white wings
On large things
	On the fly

I see every tomorrow comply
With future gestures and
Yesterday’s failures
		And

The unknown flight plan
In the hand
of a penultimate pilot

I see the dead
		Holding tight to
The last thread
		Of life

Borrow tomorrow's menu and
Offer your Paphian plans
