I found him to be a passionate man of his industry and one who bears a considerable measure of compassion ... he will be sorely missed. It is a touching dedication to such an outstanding legend of the cinema and theater, William. Thank you for sharing it. Your poem incorporates elements of his significant achievements with clarity and inner strength.

Hilo, this is a lovely tribute to an outstanding icon of the screen and stage. Your poem reflects his accomplishments with brevity and heartfelt truth. I enjoyed watching Mr. Poitier, have seen many of his films.....always loved him. Thanks for sharing this and reminding us how great he was. This is #1 for me. :)Paulette
