I found him to be a passionate man of his industry and one who bears a considerable measure of compassion ... he will be sorely missed. Surrounded by loved ones, Poitier died at his Beverly Hills home in California of cardiopulmonary failure, (02/20/27-01/06/22) at 94. 2022 February 11 *1st Place* A STRAND (1071) ~~Brian Strand: Judged 2022 February 12

Hilo, this is a lovely tribute to an outstanding icon of the screen and stage. Your poem reflects his accomplishments with brevity and heartfelt truth. I enjoyed watching Mr. Poitier, have seen many of his films.....always loved him. Thanks for sharing this and reminding us how great he was. This is #1 for me. :)Paulette
