Side By Side

We walk side by side chatting
If we only knew what they knew.
They think we are perfect for each other.
Why can’t we see it?
We talk and walk next to each other.
We never imagined or thought of us being more than friends.
Why can’t we see what they see?
We are meant for each other.
You love her, but deep down in your heart you love me.
I love you didn’t you notice it’s so obvious.
We see it, why can’t you see it?
All we see are friends.
But our hearts know we need and want more.
