Sickness

You told me that you loved me, I believed it to be true

But then I saw that cold look in your eyes and I knew

I worried and I fretted, when the guys would tell me things

I was sure they were mistaken, cause you said our love had wings

I did not know just what you meant, but then you disappeared

My head, my brain, my sanity, what was it that I feared

I didn't know you know you were so sick, but now it has come clear

You were sleeping with my friends, you stupid pain in the rear

You almost won the battle, you almost drove me crazy

But those days are over now, they are becoming hazy

I have those who care for me, or did you just not know

That they would love me & stand by me, when you would get up and go

I did not think you could hurt me, any more than you did

Or so I thought, til I heard what you did with my 18 year old kid

I can't believe you did it, but now that I can see

You had fun with everyone, so now I have the key

To see that you are locked away, just where you should be.
