Sick of Love

sick and tired of trying
they say they love you
you wanna believe it
so you can feel that compassionate touch
drift off into Ecstasy with them

when its over its over
and all feelings pushed aside
you can see them for who they are
and realize it was all an illusion

left alone
left confused
left cold

is it all just for a couple minutes of pleasure ?
you loved a boy once
wondering now if you even know how to love a MAN

love seems to be everywhere but around you
months blend together as if your spinning

sick of feeling used
grows to anger
which changes to depression
then repeat

repeat
repeat
how do we break this

i could make the perfect girlfriend
i could make the perfect wife
how do can you not see it

you mistake me
then you miss me
you hate me
then you call me late at night confessing you still love me
what about her?
what about me?

im so sick of it all
lock my self up
throw my phone out the window and close the blinds
sick and tried of looking

i keep my heart open
and love will find its way inside
i believe this most of all

I like the way this poem ends with a touch of hope, so it does not get too depressing. A nicely written poem and so true, it's hard to leaqrn to trust and love.
