Showing Off Her Diamonds

flakes begin with bits and glimpses appearing from the middle of the gray winter sky dusting brown dried grass, then covering a frosty frosting that begins thickening flakes become larger, more insistent. magically transforming your yard to a wonderland within an hour you have a glimpse of heaven lovely silence amid the work of the snowflakes a cardinal flies past, emphasizing snow’s whiteness She gleams and twinkles, glistens Showing off her diamonds, and her blue shadows You gasp, for her magnificence startles you each time.

Beautiful poem with stunning images. Nothing more beautiful than a cardinal against a blanket of snow. Thanks for writing this poem, Caren.
