Show Me Your Face

You hide your fear within as the wolves breathe down your neck.
You're not finished.
Not yet.
You stand tall but you keep your head held down.
Your mind reaps doubt.
The parade of scars cover your flesh.
Don't let them win.
Pick your head up.
The truth stands before you but you keep your eyes closed.
I'm here to pull you out.
Open your eyes!
There is more to this if you just open up.
Don't let them seal your fate.
Come on!
Pick yourself up.
I'll piece together these pieces.
Take ahold of my hand and show me your face.
Don't run away.
I won't let this happen again.
As they attempt to sink in their fangs,
i'll draw my sword.
This is war and you're not alone.
The truth stands in front of you but you keep your eyes closed.
I'll fend them off.
Come close my dear.
I won't let them in.
I'll bring this to an end.
Just stay close to me.
I'll slit their throats and their falsified hopes.
They show me their teeth.
A crocodile smile.
I'll end their lives just to see your open eyes again.
Pick up your head.
Show me your face.
Their fates are in my hands.
I won't let them get near you again.
Open those precious eyes and don't shed a single tear.
This is the grand finale.
You have nothing to fear.
