Show Me the Way

Show me the way, baby,
I'm young and dying,
and I need to live again
and be with you and love you,
and sing the blues with you,
to love you
to have you
to hold you
to kiss you
to care for you
to play with you.

Show me the way, baby,
I want you to show me the way,
to go to the age of day
and to love you.
Walk on with me
and sing with me,
smoke with me,
sit with me,
drink with me,
lay with me,
love with me,
listen with me
and show the way, baby,
I'm dying and I can't have it much longer.
What else is there to say,
I can't hear anything anymore,
and I lost my love for everyone else,
except you.

It is horrible to grow old, oh so old
and to count down the days, till death grips your hand
and I've lost my head
and gone
and lost
and holding
nothing and nothing and nothing...
on and on.
Gone.
Lost.
Love.
Life.
Laugh.
and always smile.
And show me the way, baby,
hold my hand,
and let's show the way.
Come on, baby.
