Show and tell

How important is hope? How vital is faith? When you hear someone say… “If God is real, why not show us his face? All this age of wonder is a waste.” I ask you then, what is hope? Believing a myth so weak ones can cope? How can we hope for something we've already seen…believing in the unknown is what hope means. If you never question or you never doubt, then faith isn't really what you're about. To have every answer and know every fact, you won't need faith in order to act. Asking the questions, searching for answers, this is how we get to know. And hoping for the day when tell becomes show. In seeking the truth we must pursue an education but faith by definition can't have proof as its foundation.

Amen! We are all weak compared to His strength but as you say, faith in Him gives us that strength to rely upon. Seeking the truth, looking in the right places... not at what fallible people say but what God through the prophets teaches us, is the only way to find truth. Through faith and the Holy Spirit. Thank you for that reminder and I know you'll be blessed for your testimony. Xoxo

Dear Crystol, Ohhhh so powerful. It feels like a heartfelt conversation with the soul. The way you delve into the essence of hope and faith, and how they intertwine with doubt and curiosity, is absolutely beautiful. I love how your belief isn’t about certainty but about the journey of seeking and trusting the unseen. It’s deep, thoughtful, and inspiring. Full of wisdom! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

I love how you've summed up the ideas i put forth! Seeking the truth, learning, asking questions, are all imperative to finding your truth. So is faith, when you have questions that haven't been answered... yet. Thank you so much for offering your thoughts on this! Xo

Well put Crystol..I see Tom also has valid points I have been at both ends of 'the spectrum.?' Yes That'll do.' And have seen and photographed God the holy spirit this was in 2017? The thing is I would half-jokingly say was God will stand; for having a photo taken of Him.!!! Little was I to know that they would find 'the shroud of Turin' to be a photograph was it last year? So anyway He is Indeed showing signs..And still talking through ( the mouth of donkeys) like me lol)))

I'm so happy this poem has opened such deep conversations and ideas! Thank you for sharing yours with me Joe! Yes, God does show himself to us but I think it's after we demonstrate faith in Him, maybe? Just a thought. All opinions are valid, and i love to hear what others think. Xoxo

Nice rhymes Crystol. That last line would seem to contradict Hebrews 11:1-3 though, which clearly indicates that faith is built upon solid evidence (see also Romans 1:20; John 10:38 etal. Our faith in God's promises for the future are based on the fulfillment (evidence) of previous works in the past (Joshua 23:14)

I think that scripture reinforces that statement..."now faith is the substance of things hoped for: the evidence of things not seen"Heb.11:1. And Romans 8:24" for we are saved by hope but hope that is seen is not hope for what a man sees why does he yet hope for?" I agree that God provides ample evidence and proof but what I'm trying to say is the faith can't be built only on proof or it's not by definition, faith. Foundation is the operative word i guess... the foundation of faith isn't proof... it's hope in Christ.
