Short Sight

SHORT SIGHT

Change of weather overnight
Sudden chill of dew
Loss of hearing loss of sight
Change of point of view

Morning metamorphosis
Branch-tip fingers drowned
In vague pervading grey abyss
Spreading all around

Muted music of confusion
Echoes don’t exist
Sudden closeness of illusion.
Impressions in the mist

No longer in the wide expanse
But up too closely cold
Sightless measures in the distance
Lost with fog’s blindfold

Focus tight
Black white

No complication
Simple decision
Immediate attention

The now the here
No choice is clear
