Shoreline At Your Fingertips
SHORELINE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
One finger snap
Clicks them into a nap
Or into oblivion when breath stops
Good only at pleasant memoirs at top.
At times we are near
The ambition is there
To journey forever
Neither a long sojourn.
The shoreline where it waters
Comes rushing waves
It never wavers
For you are something to stir.
Yet you must never
Study a determined height to drive
For it’s hard to endure
When power grips hardly scored.
But, then, the shoreline
Within grasp at fingertip is reachable
Pail full or half
Never to spill, just enough to live!
