Shore To Shore
The Ocean's lapping waves, flicker upon my feet,
as this huge body finds rest on another distant shore.
Feeling every droplet from foreign lands, my legs slightly sink into grains of sand
which remind of mountains that once stood stately and grand.
Welcoming the rush, the sensations of distance and time.
Absorbing the sunlight as it washes over me in vibrant waves.
Listening to the screeching Gulls as they sing to this Body, familiar to them,
as the Sandpipers skip and scurry
chasing the ebb and flow of the Ocean's foamy remnants.
Familiarity may touch every creature here,
either returning, visting, or for those that remain.
Fore to close one's eyes and listen,
Nature's heartbeat drums in sync with one's own heart, and
the song of the Universe in all it's tones,
touches every cell of creation, and
softly stirs memories of all Being....being as one.
The womb of the Universe in it's great reflection below,
is found here, upon these sands,
in every droplet within this Ocean body.
As we too remember the embrace,
the warmth, the heartbeat heard from within the womb....
It's not a home, but a new beginning
to another journey, another journey to another distant shore....
