Shirlene
You make us smile, sometimes laugh,
and even cause some tears to flow.
You’re the part we kept from the chaff,
and thought of more than you know.
You’re a God sent breath of fresh air,
that brings life into any room.
You’re our focus in daily prayer,
and rescue us from occasional gloom.
You’ve left fingerprints on our lives,
beyond our ability to understand.
They’re filed in our memory’s archives,
and today your wish is our command.
