Shipwrecked Eyes
"Dripping faucet
mocking all your tears
False hope upon hope
You've raised throughout
the years
Taped laughs
of a love so long ago
Broken by the breech
of death
Why, we'll never know
Those words once spoken-
Those words you do memorize
Reflect in the pain I see
In those Shipwrecked Eyes
Yes, there're gone, so gone
Alone we seem to be left
Angered by our destinies
And those we love, and God's theft
There was a time before
There will now always be
A time to call "after"
There once was a time of joy
There was once a time of laughter
For us the laughter replaced
by pain
Where once there was sunlight
Now naught but pain
When it comes to longing
for things gone by
You are now the Queen
Your heart too often melted
And you know what I mean
Of your pain-
I'd never trivialize...
For now it's clear
And now I can see
And now I realize
What it is that brought to you
Those oh so,so,so sad...
Shipwrecked Eyes
Those who live
Those we love
Those we idolize
Leave us, oh so
suddenly...
Stranded here...
With Shipwrecked Eyes."
