Shining Sun
Why does the sun shine,
Even on this week of sorrow
And on this ever reminding day?
I think I know why;
It is a revitalizing sign
Of those who passed away.
It has moved so quickly,
It’s rays are reaching out to me.
They are gone,
But I will be strong and move on.
