Shining Like a Star
Twilight slowly arrives with quiet sadness from afar
I look up at the sky and ask, why, why, why?
People caring less, but together we are all a shining star
Stomping on other’s feelings, is an outcry
With respect fading behind lines that are blurred
I look up at the sky and ask, why, why, why?
The birds have gone silent, there is not a word
As if they flew from an aura of sadness, on the hill
With respect fading behind lines that are blurred
Nature speaks to me kindly, maybe people will
Let's take flight and fly together with all our might
As if they flew from an aura of sadness, on the hill
Encouragement matters to us in all levels of flight
We walk our own paths, but these open skies we share
Let’s take flight and fly together with all of our might
We can learn to fly, migrate together with special care
Twilight slowly arrives with quiet sadness from afar
We walk our own paths, but these open skies we share
People caring less, but together we are all a shining star
