Shine Or Blight
I want to write a poem about written words
Did you know that written words have the same effects
As the spoken ones?
The words you use you may not realize it
But it is a part of your soul
Expressing out
Whatever it is my friend
It was hiding under your sub-consciousness
And it only brought to the open when you put down on paper
You may think it is fun and game
Fantasy or make believe
But it will somehow become a part of you
Whether you like it or not
As you are the maker of your own destiny
Whatever you say, go
You may think it is jest and device
But you don’t realize that you are speaking out your preference
Whatever it may be
Words are funny
It can help or it can wound
It can create or it can destroy
It can mend or it can wrench
It can shake or it can bake
Whatever you want to do
It will do it for you
So take care
Of what you say
You may not know it
But it is there for a purpose
To help you achieve your full potential
So use it carefully okay?
Play or perform
It will do wonder for you
Words
Send or bend
Whatever you choose
