Shine Light, Shine Bright

Stars so light
Stars so bright
Shine to tell me
Put up a fight

For as day turns to night
And night to day
Stars still shine
Forever and a day

Little star be my guide
Guide me on this fateful ride
For darkness
Is always by my side

Little star show me hope
Show me where you gleam and glow
Show me that there is a way
That a glimmer of hope is here to stay

Little star please don’t leave
Unless you want to see me grieve
Little star I beg of you
Please just stay to see me through.

And if like magic the stars did leave
And out came the sun through all the trees
Shining light, shining bright
You were the star I saw last night.

I look to the sun, with a smile and tear
For I always know hope is near
And if I’m lucky in as few hours’ time
My star will shine….my star…my light.
