Shifting Shadows of the Heart

The yearns that used to be engraved in the inner part of my soul, The exquisite pain that once tormented me relentlessly has finally taken a new turn, The feelings that stirred strange but worthwhile sensations have finally concluded, Making it feel like the world has crumbled but no, it had not, Changes quietly unfolded, veering towards the better, Little did l know that happiness rested within my hands, Nights of unrest, a carousel of thoughts and dreams, played their part, Mixed feelings, and longing to be embraced reminded me that it was nothing but an unrequited love story, But now l clap hands with a smile plastered on my face without having a heavy heart, Today l lift glasses in moments of celebration, Raising toasts in jubilant moments, Lighting candles in memory of the grievances of my past decisions, As an outcome of my strong and heartfelt decisions, Hands once thought to bewitch a man's mind, now grasp the wheel, steering a new path boundless, Pen and paper unite, revealing talents anew, The tears that once welled up during those dark times, have now run dry, Once again, the wishes weren’t granted but rather prayers have been, The heart has agreed to move on, But only one can imagine, The bliss post-healing, from tales often veiled, Embracing newfound light after traversing unspoken shadows.
