Nights are still long,
sleeping for moments,
awake most of the time.
There is a wall and a sword,
I'm in between.
A nightmare, a dark cloud passing by.
A bad dream coming true,
nothing that I didn't expect.
Black roses crying tears growing petals everyday.
One petal is in my pocket,
I didn't put it there.
I want to see that day
where that black petal changes the colour.
Perhaps the blooming Spring
let its fragance soon for me to
be smelling a new air to be breathed.
The sword is in front, the wall behind, I'm the shield.
Not in a castle, I will fight as a knight with that black petal in my pocket.
Between winter and spring,
the knight's petal changes colour.
