She's So Young
They stared and frowned as they thought "she's so young"
as tears fell they sighed "her life had just begun"
One mistake and she's thrown her life away
Soon she'll be a mother, but a kid herself today
You know she has options, she could make this disappear
As if she hadn't realized and been experiencing her own fear
They never stopped to ask her what she wanted to do
After all, she's now making a decision for two
Alone in her room all she did was cry
Thinking about her future and what dreams had just passed her by
The plan has been changed, now altered forever
How could this happen, they thought she knew better
Deep in her gut, she knows the right choice
Even though it's not here yet, that baby has a voice
With pride and confidence she'll give it her all
Still knowing along the way she'll stumble and fall
She's determined to be strong for motherhood she's now bound
The truth is she's absolutely scared and when no ones around
In the mirror I stare and frown as I think "I'm so young"
as tears fall I smile " My life has just begun"
