She's a Cold Habit

as she sleeps her comfort leaves me breathless this monster beside me inside me her scent still serenades the air an untamed paradise of my favorite poison a moisturizing malice so unclean it seems holy. she's a cold habit as she sleeps her wicked side settles fists float fallacy is forgotten and for just a few minutes i remember why I love her ~n~ how many different ways i could kill her as she sleeps

Ok I have returned. I have read it again. I think I know what the poem is about, and it's the same thing I thought last time. I still like it, but what a strange spin it has.

Dangerous art, dangerous life - I love it - just enough mystery not to annoy, yet I can personalize this dark and tender imagination - J.A.B. %

Wow Kimmy! This is astounding! I love the way it reaches inwards and rips the thoughts from within. Very well articulated. I shall enjoy reading more of your work.

This is amazing! It reminds me of passages in Dylan Thomas' Under Milk Wood where a man orders a book on The Lives Of The Great Poisoners, (delivered in a brown paper wrapper!) and proceeds to fantasize about killing his wife. Love your alliterations... and the edgy nature of your piece. Well done Kimmy!! Best wishes, Keith
