Shepherd

The shepherd as frail as he is, Managed to herd all of the sheep, Without a cry or defensive bleet, He said it was for their own good, He'd heard the howl of a wolf, Too close to not be alarmed, Lock yourselves in to keep safe, They didn't want to be easy bait, All it takes is a lie to provoke the fear, Reassurance that it's for their own security, The odd one, that black sheep, He questioned the existence of wolves near, The shepherd made sure that he disappeared, Missing one from the herd, Made it all seem more real, The rest waited in worry, Of being the next meal, How nice of the shepherd to warn them, To confine them all away, Here they are safe, They only have to wait, It is not much to surrender for this short while, Shepherd has a great plan, he will vaccinate, Just a little shot will deter the wolf from the sheep, Then little by little they will be let out free, The wolf doesn't howl anymore, Oh! How wonderful the shepherd is to us all.
