Shelter Me

Shamelessly roaming around,
Making fun of my life all year round
Shamelessly combing my hair,
Making fun of my life’s utter despair

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Shamelessly shelter me now,
Making laughter louder somehow
Shamelessly soaring so high,
Making sense in what I do, I try

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Show me the Way in which I need to go
Shaking off the feelings of unbelief a while ago
I’m still a woeful sinner till this day again,
Wondering where my youthful mind has been

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Just shelter me from harm with your might
Wearing the sweater in this weather at night
I’m still a sinner in heart...broken apart...
Pondering what my mind can share from the start

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

Shelter me, shelter me
Shelter me, shelter me

I like the continuity and jazziness of this poem. "Show me the Way in which I need to go Shaking off the feelings of unbelief a while ago" Well done!
