Shelter

Shelter me
in this gray dark unsettling gloom
that taunts and haunts my every move
it takes my breath, my heart, my soul depression looms;
it was a hundred years ago in which I lived in dreams interlude.
Keep me safe.
harbor me along the shores of time
where you found love and laughter
when nothing else remained to find
and in the end, our lives would dance in oleaster.
Give me refuge
safely wrapped tight within your arms
listening to the rhythmic of your loving heart
forever bound by love and destiny's sweet charms
 never again to be apart.
Be my haven
 sheltered warm and loved
as if it were life and love reborn
draw me in close and cherished snug
shelter me from all life storms.
